  1. INTRODUCTION & OVERVIEW At ClariFood ("we", "our"), protecting your personal data privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when using our application.
  2. 100% OFFLINE & LOCAL DATA STORAGE • Your personal profile, health goals, dietary preferences, and macro nutrient targets are stored exclusively on your device's secure local memory. • Your scanned product history and daily scores remain solely on your phone; they are never uploaded, synchronized, or backed up to remote servers. • You can permanently delete all your data at any time via the "Delete My Data" option in the Profile settings menu.
  3. PROCESSED DATA & THIRD-PARTY SERVICES • Barcode Queries: When scanning a product, the barcode number is queried against the Open Food Facts public database to fetch standard nutrition facts. No personal data or user identifiers are ever transmitted. • Images: Product front images are fetched directly from Open Food Facts content delivery networks to your device. • ClariFood Nutrition Coach: The ingredient list and nutrition values of scanned foods are processed securely to generate personalized nutrition analysis reports. Your name, email, location, or full scan history are NEVER shared with third parties. • In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: Anonymous transaction identifiers and subscription entitlement statuses are processed securely via RevenueCat and Apple App Store / Google Play Store billing systems to manage your Pro access. No credit card details are ever collected or accessible by us.
  4. ZERO ADVERTISING & NO DATA SELLING ClariFood does NOT sell your data, nor do we use third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking, or data brokers (such as Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, etc.). We do not collect advertising IDs or track you across other apps or websites.
  5. DATA SECURITY Industry-standard security practices are followed to safeguard your locally stored app data. We recommend maintaining an active screen lock or passcode on your device.
  6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY Our application does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
  7. POLICY UPDATES This privacy policy may be updated periodically to adapt to external service updates or app enhancements.
